Time for a Change.

Our firm has come a long way since Mick Foy and Graeme Halse put up a shingle in Manukau Road in 1981 with one support person. It is now time to move to the next stage. Graeme has been very conscious of wanting the firm to continue without merging with a larger firm as we want it to continue to deliver great legal service in a friendly, family environment.

We are pleased to announce that effective 1 October 2024 Jess Collett, who has been with the firm as a senior associate for several years, will be joined by Alice Nunn as directors of the new Foy & Halse. Graeme will remain as a consultant and has no intention of leaving the law (in which he has practiced for 47 years) for the foreseeable future.

Alice has, until recently, been a director of a Hamilton law firm. She is a very competent lawyer who specialises in private client law. She has been a presenter at a number of Law Society conferences and brings a great skill set to the firm. 

Those of you who have dealt with Jess know that she is a very competent and dedicated lawyer who will go out of her way to ensure your needs are taken care of.

From the client's point of view, nothing will change apart from the vibrancy and expertise that new blood will bring. Our staff will remain the same and Graeme will still be available, unless his grandchildren have sports days or there are fish to be caught.
