Sonali is originally from Fiji and arrived in New Zealand to study Law. She graduated from the University of Waikato and was admitted to the Bar in 2012. She began her legal career specializing in Immigration Law before expanding into general practice. In December 2024, she joined the Foy & Halse team, bringing a wealth of experience across various legal disciplines.
